Raj Chakrapani was born in Delhi, Iowa. He is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and will join the Cinematic Arts program at the University of Iowa next year. Currently he teaches a course in Creative Writing and New Media and works for Arts Share and the International Writing Program in Iowa City. He has served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania and Liberia and worked for the US Embassy in Myanmar. His poems can be found in the Des Moines Register, Sequestrum, crevice.ro and his short films on Youtube.
