Dorothy Wang's  monograph Thinking Its Presence: Form, Race, and Subjectivity in Contemporary Asian American Poetry (Stanford University Press, 2013) received the Association for Asian American Studies' award for best book of literary criticism in 2016 and made The New Yorker's list of "The Books We Loved in 2016"; it also garnered honorable mention in the Poetry Foundation's first Pegasus Awards for Criticism (2014). Wang gave the 2015 Leslie Scalapino Lecture in Innovative Poetics at Naropa University. She conceived and co-founded the "Race and Poetry and Poetics in the UK" (RAPAPUK) research initiative, based in the UK, and has also written on Asian Australian writing. During academic year 2017-2018, Wang will be an ACLS Frederick Burkhardt Residential Fellow at the CUNY Graduate Center.
